Technically speaking, flow is what matters. It doesn't matter if you have 0.5psi or 3.5psi, as long as enough fuel gets in the bowls. Don't worry about pressure (unless you have zero), just drive the car and see what happens. Uphill highway pulls will probably be the most revealing test of whether you're getting enough fuel or not.

I believe pressure is important too to open up needle jets. low flow might lead to higher float height.

No clue if a big difference could be observed but I do believe it has some effects.

My RX-7 pump puts out over 3psi easy. I am also running fuel via dead head method . I am suprised you aren't getting more---especially with the engine not running

Not sure why I had better pressure with the regulator than the filter. Unless, the the filter has a check valve in it that may limit how much pressure can get through. I think I may have a look at it.

Sounds like the filter is overly restrictive, at least moreso than the regulator was.

The PO for my car put in a Facet pump, I have SUs. I hear it on startup and a minute after sometimes, I think it gets loud when it is delivering a lot of gas as once leaving a parking lot it was quite loud but other than that one time experience I never hear it when I am driving. I don't know what pressure it delivers but it overflowed the SUs this summer before I replaced the pressure regulator.
