How can I get the advanced search function to search for an exact match to a phrase or multiple key words?

I have tried several combos to try and find posts about "Electric fan" it never gives me results for both electric and fan.

Can you use boolean operators like "and", "or" ie. "electric" and "fan"

The site has been changed to allow for faster response by not including older, less popular threads. I have been searching for threads I started and participated using my exact words and user name with poor/missing results. . Depending on the content you are hunting, this could be affecting your searches as well. This is done to improve search engine response by limiting the scope of records actually searched.

Sometimes Google is your best friend. In the dialog box for your search phrase, put your search phrase in double quotes and add site:classiczcars.com to the end.

For instance "sold on LEDs" site:classiczcars.com yields this result. (Note the link was done on the site Let Me Google That For You to give you a visual.)

Google did give me specific results for my terms for this forum.

The Google approach is like a lot pf GPS systems. Seems like a long way to go but hey it gets me there!

This is what I use when searching any forum. Usually, the built-in search function leaves much to be desired.
