fastener woes.

Hey all. This is gonna get me back to working on the z after a long hiatus.

I have the whole front suspension off. Painstakingly wire brushed and por15. Got an ES poly master bushing kit and adjustable illumina struts. Was a lot of hard work but fun. Now getting ready to reassemble. I had all my fasteners nicely labeled in bags.

Around the time I started I was given a pup. I guess he saw how much fun I was having that he wanted to help. Got home to find him inside the fastener box with the lawn covered with torn bags and scattered fasteners. That stopped everything, I thought it was the end.

I recovered what I could. I was surprised to see zinc on most of them even after all this time. Researched and found info on all the fasteners for the front. I'm planning on replacing the missing ones. Down the line, new ones all around would be nice.

So what's my best bet on getting them? Can't find kits for the suspension. I know I can get them from a hardware store, bolt companies, or maybe Nissan. I just don't want someone to give me a weaker grade or some IKEA bolts or something. A safe z is a good z.

I believe the pictures below are what you're looking for ;)

Use only grade 10.9 bolts & grade 10 nuts. Those are not easy to get since they all have small pitch but this is what you need.

Grower washers are the spring loaded washer type for your information.

According to Car-parts .com they have a complete Rear Suspension for a 260Z-which shares all of your needed fasteners. One stop shopping for OEM Parts with a refresher on what goes where!

Take A bucket(with a top) with some sand, gravel, and Mineral Spirits in it to drop the fasteners in and the most of crud will be worked off from action of the drive home...

I wouldn't even take inventory for what the yard will likely charge you for a bucket of bolts...Get them all and pick the best of what you had/ have at reassembly time.
