Wrapping a Dash

Leather would be difficult. I doubt that it could be stretched enough withought some stitching.

Stitched leather would look very classy, though not so original looking.

Exactly, that's why I went with a synthetic material. It stretches better and costs a fraction of the price. I'm working on a few other components of the dash as of now and will post those photos soon.

Here is a picture of the dash I am currently working on. It is already out of the truck, and has had the top part refinished using the methods described on this forum. The glove box is off in this photo as well. It is much more simple than the Z dash, so I am not sure how well this process would work on it.

Like the leather better, but the stitching looks better on the suede one. Saw a Mazarati 4 porte parked on the street - beautiful light brown leather dash, looked all hand stitched, no machine. If you had it done by a pro the cost of leather would be nothing compared to the labor.
