October 26, 201212 yr comment_405320 Leather would be difficult. I doubt that it could be stretched enough withought some stitching. Stitched leather would look very classy, though not so original looking. Stitched leather would look very classy, though not so original looking.Exactly, that's why I went with a synthetic material. It stretches better and costs a fraction of the price. I'm working on a few other components of the dash as of now and will post those photos soon. Chase. October 26, 201212 yr Author comment_405338 Here is a picture of the dash I am currently working on. It is already out of the truck, and has had the top part refinished using the methods described on this forum. The glove box is off in this photo as well. It is much more simple than the Z dash, so I am not sure how well this process would work on it. October 27, 201212 yr comment_405397 My hat is off to you Chase.. The Z dash is so much more complex (as you know), it will be good to have the practice before making the jump to the real deal. I'll be watching your progress with interest. Best of luck!!Tom Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/44757-wrapping-a-dash/?&page=2#findComment-405397 Share on other sites

December 21, 201212 yr comment_409720 Like the leather better, but the stitching looks better on the suede one. Saw a Mazarati 4 porte parked on the street - beautiful light brown leather dash, looked all hand stitched, no machine. If you had it done by a pro the cost of leather would be nothing compared to the labor. December 21, 201212 yr comment_409753 Has anyone tried flocking a 240z dash yet? The initial buy in might be higher, but it would be easier to do. The synthetic leather looks promising either way. I stole this pic from nasioc. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/44757-wrapping-a-dash/?&page=2#findComment-409753 Share on other sites
