72 OJ Posted October 26, 2012 Share #1 Posted October 26, 2012 (edited) I like the mirrors that where installed or adapted on Z's in the UK, and also like the Talbot Bullet style. Here is my debate, my Z has set of real vintage Talbot's and I have a new set like the ones used on UK early Z's. these are the ones currently on my ride. The UK mirrors were intended for my former Z and I was on the hunt for those for a while but were never installed and she is gone. The Talbot's are small and not much real view visibility on them but I do like the look, the larger UK type offer better visibility and I think that they also fit the look of the car . I will like to get some feedback from you guys......:bulb: Edited October 26, 2012 by 72 OJ
Arne Posted October 26, 2012 Share #2 Posted October 26, 2012 I prefer the Talbots, the UK mirrors remind me of the mirrors on a late MGB.

DougN Posted October 26, 2012 Share #4 Posted October 26, 2012 I prefer the Talbots, the UK mirrors remind me of the mirrors on a late MGB. Actually, I put late MGB mirrors on my Z, as I wanted a set that matched and looked period correct and they do look identical to the ones in the photo. They may indeed be the same since the MGB mirrors are made by Talbot. The PO of my car had some awful looking black plastic things on it that just had to go. I like the Talbots, and having a little more mirror to improve vision is indeed a good thing. I have attached a couple pics of the MGB mirrors on my Z. mjr45 Posted October 26, 2012 Share #6 Posted October 26, 2012 (edited) Talbots. I've got the cheap plastic ones painted to match, but will change them when I can afford a much better set, also needed them to put the car on the road. tlorber Posted October 26, 2012 Share #8 Posted October 26, 2012 There was a recent post on this site regarding the OEM or OEM reproduction mirrors, in case you are interested. I'm not sure how they compare in price, but at least you'd know they look original.
72 OJ Posted October 26, 2012 Author Share #9 Posted October 26, 2012 (edited) Yes, I am aware of it, the originals are great to have if you can secure a pair, my debate is that I like the UK type mirrors and the Talbot Bullet type , I have both sets and I can not make my mind ...to leave the Talbots on or to install the Uk's ....... Where did you get them, and did they mount without any modifications?

ninjazombiemaster Posted October 27, 2012 Share #12 Posted October 27, 2012 Yeah, I'm a fan. I'm looking at the MG MGB mirrors. Victoria British carries them at $40 a piece it looks like.
