Posted November 3, 201212 yr comment_406022 This is my first Z.74 260Someone removed the electric FP. Wires are hanging there bareWith ignition on or car running there is no voltage.question; Should electric FP turn on with ignition(like radio)? Or does it run intermittent due to load condition? Thanks in advance-Dr. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/44853-another-stupid-fuel-pump-question/ Share on other sites

November 4, 201212 yr comment_406039 The 74 is supposed to run the fuel pump when the engine RPM's are above 400 and the starter is not engaged. The electric pump shuts off if the engine isn't running. So, to answer your question... If your engine is running (assuming it's running faster than 400 RPM), you should be getting voltage at the fuel pump connector in the wheel well.See EF-6 and EF-7 for more detail.
