Posted November 14, 201212 yr comment_406779 Not sure if this is better off in the Parts Swapping thread or here, but on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/110694563710?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649, there is a guy selling custom made brackets to mount the 240z front bumper on a 280z, and was just curious if anybody else around here has bought them. I know he mentions about the stainless not being drilled, but other than that though, any good/bad experiences? November 14, 201212 yr comment_406801 I looked at buying a set like these, but ended up making my own. The SS version looks good and reading his info I see he is now punching slots in them. Stailess can be a pain to drill.I converted my 280z to fibreglass bumpers because I could'nt find any originals in any reasonable condition around here. To fit them I use aluminium strip because it was easy to bend and form to the right shape. Then used the aluminium set as a template to make a stainless set.Eventually I want to change to the SS bumper made in Vietnam, but the price is rather steep and I have yet to see a pair on a car. November 14, 201212 yr Author comment_406854 I am not worried about the pain for drilling since I have access to a drill press which makes things alot easier, and I plan to go the fiberglass route to. My 280z is more for daily driver for how much I want out of it, but I do want it to look nice too Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/44920-240z-bumpers-to-280z-brackets-any-experiences/#findComment-406854 Share on other sites
