dltalfa Posted November 27, 2012 Share #1 Posted November 27, 2012 (edited) I just finished painting my 240z and I'm ready to start the reconstruction. I will be replacing all the rubber weatherstrip / molding seals on the car. I was looking at the complete kit offered by Black Dragon,...but I have read a few threads on here that indicate that some of these moldings may not fit corretly. Can anyone elabortae? If these moldings are not of good quality,...does anyone else offer a complete set that fits correctly?I need the windshield rubber, front and rear. The door seals, the under hood seal, rear hatch rubber seals,...everything.Any suggestions? Edited November 27, 2012 by dltalfa
Kurbycar32 Posted November 27, 2012 Share #2 Posted November 27, 2012 The door seals on my black dragon kit fit but seem to be wider or maybe the incorrect shape. The end result is the doors dont close even close to correctly, im talking about 1/2" of light between the seal and the top back of the window rail. The rest of the kit seems OK including the glass seals, window fuzzy's and dozens of smaller rubber parts. My car is about to head into the body shop for another reason and the body guy thinks he can straighten it all out with the BD door seals. If it works ill be sure to tell the forum. Even without the door seals fitting i think I might buy the BD kit again because all of those other rubber parts work, it comes as a complete kit and is really affordable. Reverend Posted November 27, 2012 Share #3 Posted November 27, 2012 Windshield glass is a good fit but its PITA job trying to put the chrome molding back on. At first my door strips were very tight too, but after slamming them for 1,5 years, they work fine
