Ok, thanks for your patience !! All fixed up now. The problem was a result of the "bridge" between ClassicZcars.com and DatsunClassifieds.com . Thanks goes out to Will for helping me test this tonight over the phone.

I'll be looking at the search utility over the weekend. But, if you had problems logging in, it's all fixed!

Starting at the home page, hit the "Search" button. Scroll down page one and hit "2" at the end of the list to get to the next page. Poke around on page 2 and then hit the back arrow to return to page 1... When I do that, I get this:

"Webpage has expired

Most likely cause:

•The local copy of this webpage is out of date, and the website requires that you download it again.

Click on the Refresh button on the toolbar to reload the page. After refreshing, you might need to navigate to the specific webpage again, or re-enter information."

I know I could refresh the page, but having to refresh every time I want to back up a page is a pain. Any idea if this a programming issue, or a browser settings issue?

I thought I'd check to see if you have any emperical data (measured in total dollars of stuff sold or total number of sales) compared to a similar period for the old version, to show whether people are using the classifieds?

I rarely use it any more since it takes so long to load and to maneuver around, and when I do go on it only reinforces my frustration, but I'll be the first to admit that I'm a bit old school...from an era when bumpers were chrome, and "blowing a tranny" just meant car trouble.

I personally love the new classifieds, as I've already said because they cater more to organization, which the old one lacked.

But what's going on with the username and login? I was able to login fine with my forum user and pw when you first made the switch and a few days after, but today I can't login, but it says my username is taken if I try tor register. And yet, my password doesn't work. So basically, my account got screwed up somehow and now I'm locked out. Can't get a "forgot password" email, either. Database errors perhaps?

I am having issues logging in also. I have e-mail notifications of messages regarding my ad, but I can't answer because I can't log in. I have tried at different times.

No real emperical data, sorry. The new ad system cost me nearly $1,500 to build and probably 80+ hours of fun. So, I'll probably stick with the new one for a bit. If you let me know how to improve it, I am all ears. The old classifieds did bring in more banner ad money though... for that reason I might just go back. ha

I really encourage you to try using the new site a bit more if you can. I know it's something new, but, it has a lot more features that give you the ability to sell products easier. If you have a lot of products, it can also be set up to give you a dedicate page (URL) with your stuff listed. My favorite feature is the "save as PDF" where you can save all of your favorite ads to PDF files for printing or saving later on.

, I had to read that one a few times to get what you meant... hahaha, funny as hell after you know what a tranny is (not the car part)

Steve, try this URL to get your password fixed up: http://www.datsunclassifieds.com/remind.html The system will email you to create a new one. Your username is still in the system, just your password needs to be redone.
