Posted November 29, 201212 yr comment_407956 I've been looking at how to remove the aluminum trim on the doors that go around the windows when they roll up. After briefly inspecting I did not see an easy way to remove them. So I thought I would come on here and see if its worth it, or should I just leave them on. Any advice would be very appreciated. November 29, 201212 yr comment_407958 If you are talking about the window channel that is part of the door, ie the three sided SS frame that the glass fits into when up, its held on with several bolts. You can see several on the door at the latch edge and a couple in front, but there are at least three more you need to access with the interior door trim panel removed. Why do you want to remove it? There is no way the glass can seal against the body without it. November 30, 201212 yr Author comment_408106 Im stripping the doors and taking them off the car for eventual body work and paint. I plan on putting them back on after paint. Thanks for the info! I appreciate it. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/45042-aluminum-window-trim/#findComment-408106 Share on other sites
