I just found a c210 right near my place... 4 door... Registered till next June!!!

What's a c210 roughly worth in drivable nick. Looked ok at a quick glance. Having a better look Saturday

Driveable doesn't mean much as the running gear has so little value.

A good body and interior is really special, and overseas demand has driven the price up a fair bit, but not to the extent of 240ks.

An overall ok car... $1000 bargain - $3000 ok - $4000 too much.

A super clean car... $3000 to $4000.

I had a go at selling my c210 a year back, couldn't get anywhere near decent coin for it.

Well this one is literally one owner, lil old lady bought it in 78 and has had it since.

She stopped driving about two months ago and is thinking of selling. The brief look I've seen it's an auto L24 and is completely original. I'd driven past it for years before one day I paid a bit more attention when I stepped up the search for a c110.

Thats for C210's right?

C110 prices are more like:

A total rust bucket $1000 - $3000

An overall ok car... $4000 - $8000

A super clean car... $8000+

Absolutely.

Despite the similar running gear, weight, size, and shape, a C210 is likely to fetch half of a 240K in same-same condition, and the poor old ADM MR30 half of the c210 again.

This has very much to do with overseas demand.

If that C210 is clean and reasonably priced snap the thing up. It'll never go searching for a home for long.

a lot of these overseas buyers want the 240k coupes for the prices they were paying 10 years ago witch was bugger all .a restored coupe is worth 20,000 easy and if u dont want to pay these prices maybe u guys should be looking else were for these cars .i live in Tasmania and have owned several 240k,s over the years .10 years ago there was plenty of parts here in tas and prices were reasonable.now i cant even get the simplest of parts .the reason a number of overseas buyers collecting every part and car they can filling shipping containers and sending them overseas mainly to arab states if u want to sea how theses car a treated there take a look a u tube.

Some vids up in the general discussions folder

Truthfully, there's plenty of well restored C110/C210 in Kuwait, UAE, and Saudi Arabia that don't get turned into burnout machines as well...

They fetch some amazing money. There wouldn't be a car in that lot going for under 15K.

yet they expect to buy them here for peanuts

Yet I get the impression (especially from the $20k comment) that the market is no higher than it is locally, so why are people bothering to steal all our cars and send them to the Middle East? The big money for C110's looks to be USA and Japan, from what I can see. I have seen several amazing C110 Coupe's on the market for ~$60k in Japan, the USA will pay $20k's no problem. I was not intending to go quite this high, but did have $15k to spend...a car didn't arrive in time, unfortunately.

The market is high for LHD cars, RHD cars are used for parts, and therefore aren't worth as much to them.

They want our RHD cars for parts. They cut them up and stuff as many as they can into a shipping container. Apparently its not allowed for them to convert a car to LHD legally so they will stripped and cut up for parts or possibly use the id of a wrecked LHD car to illegally convert it.

This was the prices they were selling for 6 years ago (this post from 2006). Anybodies guess what they are selling for now.

In Kuwait as well as Saudi Arabia as well as United Arab Emerates, we like

the 240k crazily !!!!!! cause we live with that car for decades 1973 up

to today.. for me I have a 1976 240k and I,ve paid about 5000 $ and

more eventhough it has some rest and missed many parts.

You know those guys whom go to Australia and pay you hundreds of dollars they

will pay thousands of them if your cars are LHD, cause we can not drive

them here in GCC countries (GCC means Gulf Counsol Coporation including

six Arab countries ) what we do we just cut the car into tow parts and

ship it otherwise we can not inter it to our countries !!!! our trafic office

in all GCC countries are so tough... then we start selling them as a spare parts ( yea it is a profitable challenge) we brought almost all the 240Ks in Europe (about 60 pcs from Germany,11 pcs Portugal,10 pcs Holland

5 pcs Finland and .....) and about 300 pcs from Austrailia what to do you

are accepting the offer ........

our market prices nowadays are as follows (2006)

1- Europian 240K sedan with Skyline emblem good codition $ 18000

2- Europian 240K Coupe with Skyline emblem GC $ 12000

4- Europian 240K sedan with DATSUN emblem GC$ 13000

5- Europian 240K Coupe with DATSUN emblem GC $ 9000

6- UK, Australian, Newz, Japanese 240K sedan GC $ 8000

7- UK, Aus, Nz, Jp 240K coupe $ 6000

8- GCC 240K sedan GC $ 22000

9- GCC 240K coupe GC $ 18000

GCC means the car was imported to our pretty hot countries with

( A/C , Skyline badge on fender , steering wheel center, dashbord, at rear

between the tails, Steel distinguished rims and so and so)

sorry I wrote to much later I will show you some photos from my yard

which has C110 & C210 all of them KHLGC110 005019 but now I lost my

Digital Camera and thank you very much brother Austrailian and whom others

and please forgive us about what we did, BTW soon or later you will see no

C110 or C210 240Ks running in your street

( 90% ) of ur 240Ks r stripped for parts

nowadays we r searching in Europe.... we got about 20 pcs

from Germany , 5 finland , etc ofcourse they are LHD
