I need some help locating a retail supplier of expansion springs suitable for a throttle return application. Any suggestions?

Go to the help isle of your auto parts store, they sell a package with about 8 assorted springs in it of various sizes. They are about 5 bucks per pack and one is bound to fit your needs, I am always playing with my return spring feel, and I go through them often.

I Followed up at a local auto parts store - Here's the spring in position with its very long and adaptable ends adjusted to a good working length:

Excellent, that's a very good spot for the aux return spring.
