March 27, 201311 yr comment_418939 Hi mgmoreau,I could/should have taken a series of pictures while I was installing the material. That said, its now covered up with foam and carpet. As such, I rolled them back in an attempt to give you at least a small look at the material in place. Cheers,George Hi George,Thanks for the picture. I had forgotten I posted on this thread. How many square feet did you buy and was it enough to do most of the interior? Are you happy with the sound deadening now that it is installed?Take care,Marc Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/45302-sound-deadening-and-heat-shielding-materials/?&page=3#findComment-418939 Share on other sites

In fact, just the right amount for the job.It was easy to work with be using a sharp utility knife. As to how well it works, please ask me again in a month - snowing here this AM!!FYI: The company has dropped the price; now $80.00Cheers,George Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/45302-sound-deadening-and-heat-shielding-materials/?&page=3#findComment-418944 Share on other sites

March 27, 201311 yr comment_418948 George,Did you cover the inside of the rear quarters and doors and floor pans also with that trunk kit? Thanks,MarcMarc, all but the doors to date. That said, I have two sheets remaining, and I'm undecided as to where they go until I road test it. Certainly, the doors are a possibility - if needed.Cheers,George Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/45302-sound-deadening-and-heat-shielding-materials/?&page=3#findComment-418948 Share on other sites
April 2, 201311 yr comment_419430 Okay, so I thought I would have the Murder Mat in a week ago but just finished it today and couldn't be happier. It adhered to my version of Lizard Skin very well and once it is rolled down is very difficult to remove. Although the surface facing inside the car is slick after it is cleaned with an alcohol wipe, it takes spray on 3M adhesive very well. I'm a long way from getting the sound system going but the echoee sound inside the cab is gone. I'm sure most of the stick on sound deadeners would do the same thing.I bought 40sq. ft. and was able to cover everything I thought needed it.Chris Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/45302-sound-deadening-and-heat-shielding-materials/?&page=3#findComment-419430 Share on other sites
April 3, 201311 yr comment_419466 Bring the pics! Here are a few photos of the hush mat in my 260Z.. Try not to laugh.. I know it looks like a first grader did most of the application, I was trying to get maximum coverage while minimizing waste.. The roof was completely covered as well as the insides of the doors. This is great stuff, I highly recommend it. April 18, 201311 yr Author comment_420931 I decided to go with the Lizardskin. I spent last weekend taping the inside off. April 18, 201311 yr comment_420936 I've ordered 80 sq ft (2 40' packs) of the BL version of Murdermat for about $225 with free shipping. The sales rep said that it would probably take 60 sq ft to do the whole car. I'm talking floorboards, tranny tunnel, firewall, doors, roof and trunk area. He also said that there isn't a reason to buy their thicker stuff, as I'll probably have some left over and can easily double up on concerned areas. My problem was getting all that nasty, hairy jute off the bare metal. Check out the green monster! April 21, 201311 yr comment_421120 Here's my progress. I've used all 80 sq ft of murdermat already, and still nothing on doors. Already has a much more soild sound inside. Got it in and laid out some carpet and vinyl for estimated future look.
