The car i now run bad, sometime all be right and so the car run like a plane, and sometime there 's no power.

I must see the car soon....:bunny:

Actually carbie turbos are alot simpler and cheaper than the alternative. (france probably didnt get 280z turbo's so you cant just do a engine swap)

think about it:

carbie turbo:

Need turbo plumbed into oil and water and a turbo exhaust manifolds. stick a carbie on the front of the turbo and you're off.

(ok carbie might need to be tuned with different jets or needles depending on carbie type).

Alternative.

Need turbo plumbed into oil and water and a turbo exhaust manifolds. Need to make a intake manifold for fuel injection. Need engine computer to controll fuel injection, which needs a whole bunch of extra sensors, air flow, temperature, crank senor, ignition firing system. Computer needs to be tuned.

I ask this question because the car i know and that i will see soon had already this assembly, i don't know if it's a jaguar .su carbie and if the guy had tune the car for (electronic ignition, special exhaust) the guy had buy the car like this, and it's never run well.

Personnaly i prefer a 3 weber assembly, than a turbo modified, but if the guy sell the car for few bucks (he didn't use this car because it run bad), and if i can find what doesn't work, perhaps i ll' keep the turbo on....

thanks for the reply

Hey Ben,

This is unrelated to your question re Z cars, but seeing that you are from Montpellier, do you ever go to Sommiers?. I spent some time there in the 70's and used to hang out at the Moto Club Sommierois at the cafe Du Nord near the river. It was a great time and there were some terrific people there!

I'm sorry that this does not relate to your original query, its just that when I saw where you were from it bought back fond memories.

Cheers,

Geoff

Yes i know Sommieres but i didn't live in this part of the country, i live in the nord west of Montpellier, near Clermont l'Herault near Salagou Lac. So i'm not ofen in Sommière. It's a beautifful place i hope you will come back one day, but from Austalia it's so far long....
