I am just back from a road trip through Germany, Austria and Czech Republic. This year was with the 1970 Mustang, but next year will be 2 weeks and with the 240z ! ( Swiss, Italy, Monaco and Spain for 2017 roadtrip ! ) Gas $$ was really to much with the Mustang hehe, I've burned close to a 1000 euro on fuel..

Here's a few nice pictures  We visited the Speyer Museum this time, and again the US car meeting in Sinsheim ( over 700 cars !, next year they will hold it 2 days ! )  I've also visited " the Kehlsteinhaus " which is on the Obersalzberg, which is the late house of the dictator Adolf Hitler. It's almost 2 km up. Very nice views !

Yeah. He's working on it haha, but progess is going slow.

Last sunday... ( the 240Z is going into a winter sleep mid october/november )

Well... 2 years passed again quickly, and the invitation for the road check ( APK ) showed up on the doormat again. It failed on the rear left drum brake ( I guess from sitting still during storage, because I rebuild the brakes nog so long ago ), so took it apart, but eventually with some searching I found a new main seal and it worked again. Passed for another 2 years  !  Now the next one is in 2019, then the next one would be in 2021 but since new regulation coming into place in May 2018 about classic cars beeing 50 years and older are free of road check forever, I might have luck 2019 is the last time she needs to go for the road check.

The car is back in storage now, I hope the weather gets better soon, but as it looks now, end of april.. she will sleep at least another 2 months

Hey Chas , thanks ! It passed APK again this year. How's your Z going along, are you going to drive it this summer to Japan Classic day ?

Yesterday I bought myself a new pet, for in my new place . He's a male Triton Cockatoo ! 5 years old. I still haven't found a name, suggestions are welcome  . I can pick it up in about 4 weeks, can't wait haha
