I am getting notifications of members that "Like". Are they linking my post to Facebook or Twitter? And what does it mean when someone wants to be "Friends"? I don't have a Facebook account or Twitter so I'm kinda stupid about those. And the "Friends" thing couldn't they just send a Private Message? Thanks for some clarification on my end.

It's just to acknowledge that we like a post instead of posting something along the lines of "That's so cool!" or "u r so cool" (Sorry, I had to throw in the texting.)

Most of the current discussion websites have a feature where you can invite a person to be a 'friend,' or to be in a kind of 'circle of friends' with you. When they do that, you get a invitation to be a person's friend. I can't tell what the result is, like if you get some kind of icon on the screen indicating that your friend is here too. I probably have about a dozen 'friends' on HibridZ, but I don't see any indicators, or bells, or whatever.
