January 20, 201312 yr comment_412442 $4.2 million, looked really cool close up, as if the rocket launcher and other devices would really work! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/45460-barrett-jackson/#findComment-412442 Share on other sites

January 20, 201312 yr comment_412445 The Batmobile auction was pretty cool, but I could have don without watching George Barris' dentures fall out numerous times while he was hyping the car on stage. :ogre: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/45460-barrett-jackson/#findComment-412445 Share on other sites
January 20, 201312 yr comment_412446 I get what Barris has done for the community, but the dollar figure is just crazy. Still if somebody paid it, then it was worth that to that person. But good luck every making a profit. The older that car gets, the less and less of that generation will care. The car is not that exceptional from an engineering point of view, and as nostalgia will only go so far. It will end up in a museum one day, probably donated for a tax break. January 20, 201312 yr comment_412469 I thought that there were only 5 made? The buyer paid $4.6M if you add in the 10% commission. :-oChuck Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/45460-barrett-jackson/#findComment-412469 Share on other sites
