My brother is the event manager for this show (May 17-19, 2013) and is considering having Peter Brock come as a special guest at the show. How many people here would come to meet him? Do you think he would draw a crowd? I would love to meet him but Ed wants to know what everyone else thinks. Does anyone know of any BRE cars near PA? Any comments are appreciated. Pete is certain to draw a crowd if the event promotes him properly. Look at his interview in a recent Car & Driver. He was involved in the design of the split-window corvette and Daytona Coupe on top of his exploits with BRE. I met him when he came out for the Mitty in 2010. He was great with autograph seekers. I know. I got him to sign two event posters. One was for my nephew, and the other hangs right behind my monitor at work.

Good info, SteveJ! There are always some Daytona Coupe kits at Carlisle so he should be of interest to those owners as well. Pete was at the Summit Point, WV track last year but it was the same weekend as the Carlisle Import/Kit show so I didn't get down to meet him. :-( I have a couple of those Mitty posters too. One is framed and hanging in my hall. I hope Pete comes to Carlisle so I can get it autographed!

I meet Peter and his wife Gale at Kit Car show at the Fairplex Pomona outside the Wally Parks Museum. He brought his Daytona kit car with him; he was really great to talk to as was his wife. There was not a huge turnout for the Kit Car show so I am not sure what kind of following he has, I know his shop is out of Henderson or Las Vegas NV. Regardless if he attracts a large crowd or not; the history he has to share is very interesting to listen to.

My bro sent me some pics of Peter's Daytona kit. Very nice car! The Carlisle Import/Kit show gets about 25000 people in attendance and about 1500 show cars. Several of the local Z car clubs in conjunction with Carlisle Events has made this show home to the East Coast Z Nationals.

Nobody knows of any BRE cars on the East coast???

It's official. Peter Brock will be at the Carlisle Import and Kit Nationals this year! I'm looking forward to meeting him and getting some of my BRE stuff autographed. Ed's still looking to get a real BRE car to Carlisle. Nissan has one in TN and Carl has one in FL. I expect Ed to contact both of them shortly. Does anyone know of any cars closer to PA?
