240z Rear Bumper Guard Rubber Strip

I would recommend selling your re-chromed '73 guards, buy some '70-'72 guards and then use your 4-bolt rubber strips. The larger '73 guards were set closer to far ends of the bumper than the '70-'72 guards were and in my opinion would not look right on the older bumper. Besides, as you have found out, it's going to be tough trying to find some '73 rubber guards and your re-chromed guards should sell quickly.

OK,..I have found the problem. My 1972 has 1973 guards on it. Apparently, the 70-72 had he 4 hole configuration anf the 73 had the 3 hole. Not sure how 73 guards ended up on my 72, (with build date of 02/72).

Now I just need to find some 73 rubber strips.

I think you have it backwards. The 70-72 had three holes in the guards and studs in the rubber strips. The 1973 had four. Here is a set of the rubber strips with the three studs you said you were looking for: Datsun 240Z Front Bumper Overrider Guard Rubber Strip Set 1970 72 New | eBay

This auction is for a set of FRONT rubbers. I am looking for the REAR rubber strips. Thanks though.
