Posted January 29, 201312 yr comment_413424 I am looking for a solution to the fuel line hose (~1/2") that comes out of the fuel tank and goes up into the fuel pump. Conventional fuel line hose wants to crimp since its virtually a 90 degree turn and does so in a short distance. I'm assuming the factory hose was formed and I can't find a part number from the fiche for the original. Actually, as far as I can tell, the microfiche doesn't show a diagram for the tanks after the 74 model. Has anyone found an acceptable alternative for this? Also the 1/2" hose seems to be acceptable for the tank connection but the fuel pump inlet appears to be just a tad smaller. Anyone know the exact sizes. I think my fuel pump is the factory original. January 29, 201312 yr comment_413426 You could put a loop in the hose. Point the loop up so it won't catch on something. Make sure it doesn't rub on anything. Zip-ties work well for holding the loop where you want it. I did this for the outlet on my new pump when I installed it, for a similar reason. The hoses are in metric size. You're right, the outlet is smaller. I can't remember the outlet from the pump, but when you get up to the engine bay, it's 8 mm, which is very close to 5/16", which works great. Probably 12 mm on your inlet hose. I would guess that 3/8" (close to 10 mm) might work on the outlet of the pump.
