I had to remove that arm off the throttle body that holds the spring, it's a #6 allen bolt that holds the throttle body to the intake manifold - bottom right, so I could reach that bolt closet to thermostat housing. I had to put the horizontal shield on first then the vertical one. Sorry I didn't get this to you earlier. February 5, 201312 yr comment_414012 Hey Cliff, I was able to install mine without removing the throttle return spring. However, I did remove the dizzy.....it allowed me to maneuver the heat shield in that area. Also removed the heat shields from the brake master and the pcv hose. No problem after that. The thing has been off so long I almost forgot how it went back.
