Posted February 19, 201312 yr comment_415397 I recently got a 1979 2+2 and the previous owner lied about the condition and it was a special case so it was hard to say no to it, ever since I bought it I just keep finding more and more wrong with it. One of those is the window seals being dry rotted, I saw black dragon doesn't have it listed anymore for the s130. I checked z store and the site says Nissan has stopped supplying it, I found z source and they have it listed for about 500 or so. That's a lot more than I remembered earlier, so I figured maybe there is a temporary fix, but so far I can only find fixes for house windows. It's not a severe leak mostly when I wash it or if it's just sitting in the rain, but I haven't noticed anything while driving it yet. Does anyone know anything I can do until there's a new supplier? Or do I just have to keep checking the weather to determine which car to take? February 19, 201312 yr comment_415401 Which window are you talking about? If you just want a quick fix you can probably use silicone. I know that some of the outer hatch seals were hard to come by, but most of the rest should be available. February 19, 201312 yr Author comment_415427 Both drivers and passengers are dry rotted right around the top of the door/ bottom of the window area. I was trying to find pricing to see if I could replace it soon but since only one site has it for about 500 I'm gonna have to wait, unless by some odd chance I can find a decent used one nearby. February 19, 201312 yr comment_415479 If you are talking about the pieces that go around the door frames, I picked up some used Kia Sportage ones at the junk yard ($8.00) and they are perfect. Here is a writeup.Kia Sportage weatherstip rocks! February 21, 201312 yr comment_415700 It might work if you cut sections to match and piece together with 3M weatherstrip cement. Get one and see. If it works go back and get 3 more.
