My tool set is still in the wrapper. The wheel chocks are not in the wrapper and are solid.

I wasn't hopeful that you would sell it, but I thought I'd ask! New is the quality level I'd like to find.

Another option would be Craigslist. Go to Onecraigs - Search all of Craigslist nationwide and search for 240z tool or tool kit, spare kit, or whatever. You would be surprised how many people around the country are parting these cars out at any given time. I have bought several items from guys out of state and as long as I paid the shipping they would ship me the parts. Worth and try and costs $0.

I haven't had any luck finding a Z tool set in good to excellent condition. I need a lug wrench, jack handle and rod, tire stoppers, tool bag and lug nuts. Was this set used in any other Datsun of the era?

Personally I am very much NOT a purist, but it was still really cool to keep the OEM toolkit. An aftermarket one just wouldnt be the same

What I mean is that you could clean up and powdercoat these OEM tools, or even get them plated.

OK, since there is not much (or any) negativity about refinishing a set of rusty tools, I think I'll look into getting them coated or plated. Maybe I'll go through my box of leather renants and make up a spiffy bag or roll to keep it in.

About those tool kits... I viewed a few on eBay, and besides the regular parts, I saw a couple red tube things. They rethe same color as the drive handle for the hack. Are those supposed to be extensions?
