i was almost set on a set of 195/70 r14 tires for my 1.5" lowered 240.

but i found a tire that i might be interested in but only comes in 65 and 60 series aspect ratio

does anyone have a picture of a 240 with the thinner profile tires on it, so i can get an idea of how they look in the wheel well.

I have 215/60 R14s on my 260Z. That's only a little bigger than the 195/65 R14. It looks fine to me.

195/60R14 on 6" wide wheels. We have the Tokico lowering springs installed as well.

Here's my race car with 195/60R14 tires. It is lowered about 1.5". On a race car, they look good, but I think they'd look a bit small on a street car.

Btw. what is the widest tire that fits original 14" slot mag? Currently running 195/60.

Koalia, the problem is that there really aren't any wider tires available in a 14" size. They still make racing slicks wider, but otherwise, the selection is dwindling.

I have 205 / 70 / 14 on mine on a 76 - 280. I did have 215 / 60 / 14 Goodyear Eagle GT on mine before these, BF Goodrich TA, they are considered all season.

The general rule of thumb is that the tread width should be equal to the rim width +- a half and inch. I just mounted 205/70R14 on my standard height series I 240Z with no problems.

Depends. Those slot mags were available back in the day in widths from 5.5" to 7".
