March 8, 201312 yr comment_417142 looks like it could be the wiring for the emergency brake light on the dash. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/45946-wire-under-seat-question/#findComment-417142 Share on other sites
March 8, 201312 yr comment_417183 Year etc???The passenger seat had a pressure switch mounted in the springs for the passenger seat to turn on the seat belt warning light if someone was sitting in the seat. It could be the wiring for that switch.jlp Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/45946-wire-under-seat-question/#findComment-417183 Share on other sites
March 8, 201312 yr Author comment_417196 it's a 72 build date 10/71. straps, no springs under seat. i think it's for the emergency brake. could it be a speaker wire or does that run under the rocker? March 8, 201312 yr comment_417224 The speaker wire is buried in the bundle running along the right side rocker and disappearing into the dogleg. Check your parking-brake and find the button switch under the handle. There should be a single wire attached to it. The switch goes to ground when the parking-brake handle is lifted, this turns on the light on the dash. As a test, ground your mystery wire with the ingnition on and see if the brake light on the dash comes on.
