I was checking the MidOhio racing schedule to see the dates for the vintage weekend, and I read that one of the races for that weekend was called the 2Bad Challenge. Apparently, last year the Datsuns beat the BMWs and Alfas. I was not able to find any details and was wondering if anyone knows what happened there. This year, the BMWs and alfas want to take the 2Bad award back:

It looks like you would want to get tickets for this year's event, if you like the SVRA stuff.

I went 2010 try to make it there this year.

I was there along with our ZROC club. We will be there again this year. We will have a Z car parking area in the infield and do the parade lap at lunch (if you want to). It's a great bunch of people. Come on down!

I made it down in (2009?) for the Datsun event you guys worked out. The infield parking was cool, the burgers were good, and having the whole place "to yourself" on Friday was even cooler

I don't suppose there is a place locally, or just in Mansfield, where we could get a bunch of people together and book some rooms? It sure beats driving 90 minutes every day both ways.

That would be fun. Most of the hotels around there sell out on race weekends pretty early.

Did 2 or 3 Bobby Rahal TrackTime Driving Schools there in my Z in the early 90's, we had to do the "kink'' before the keyhole

I didn't think you could get up to 100 on the way up to the keyhole That's pretty good for the sedans- the bigger cars like Camaros don't seem to be going that fast on the long straight. the best I ever did in my Z was about 65 on the long straight, but that was on a parade lap, so you were kinda limited for room, and it was in an unrestored car.

Come to think of it, where do all the race teams and team support people stay when there is an event at MidOhio? Do they go to Mansfield, or Columbus maybe?

I believe there's a place on Rt. 97 where I exit I-71 south.

Yeah, it looks like there are three hotels right there by the highway where you exit, 5 more at the next exit North, Some along OH-30, and a few in Mansfield.

I believe many of the teams will go to Columbus, with the higher-budget teams/drivers staying at high-end hotels downtown. Mostly because there just aren't enough hotels near the track. Nice videos BlackGoldMan. Very cool. The fastest I could ever do was about 110 MPH down the back straight a Mid-Ohio School Acura TSX.
