Posted March 6, 200124 yr comment_119 I bought my 240z less about a year ago and recently joined as a member here. I was planing to replace the front fenders and the bumpers. My question is, Does anyone know of any inexpensive aftermarket parts? I'm a student on a tight budget and i don't want to sell it. I would prefer a metal fenders and plastic bumpers, but fiberglass would be okay too. I was also woundering, does anyone know if you can leave the stock metal rail bumper in and place a plastic or fiberglass bumper over it? I thank you in advance for you help and input.------------------ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/46-after-market-parts/ Share on other sites
March 18, 200124 yr comment_120 Shiin, try MOTORSPORT. Find them online at www.zcarparts.com and get their free catalog. It's like a porno mag of hot stuff for all types of Z cars. Bumpers, fenders, skirts, shiny things you gotta have. Engine and suspension upgrades galore. A great selection of stock parts too. Be careful with them, however, as their customer service is somewhat lacking. Happy motoring! I got their catalog about 5 years ago (never owned a Z car yet though ) It's great to just leaf through and get ideas and plan budgets. I got interested in Zs when my dad showed me some pics of a red 72 he bought brand new. I looked at getting a 73 240z once which had a 280z engine, but it just didn't seem to run right, so I passed. That was about 3 years ago. I hope to get a 240 in good condition and make a sleeper out of it. July 14, 200222 yr comment_10540 granted they still do have a lot fo parts for the Z and available. and i do like there service. but if you think your getting a 25% discount think again.when i ordered form them some time ago for a clutch. i didnt think about the price. they have me logged in there and i just sent the money off.well i look at the reciept and think something is funny. go to the web site and the prices are totaly different.never saw where a discount was removed either. when i called they said that there site hasnt been updated in a while and the prices reflected were wrong. then i asked about my discount, same answere except now it was only 10%im not bashing them but they should do something for us guys since were suppling them with out hard earned cash to keep that store upjust my .02 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/46-after-market-parts/#findComment-10540 Share on other sites
