Posted March 19, 201312 yr comment_418249 I'm trying to get my filler tube out, and I've run into a snag. How do you get the passenger side quarter panel interior trim piece off (the one that covers the gas tank filler tube), I've got it loose and I've disconnected the passenger seat belt retractor to get it out of the way but it just doesn't seem to come out, and I don't want to break it. Any tips? Thanks Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/46060-76-280z-int-trim-panel-removal/ Share on other sites

March 19, 201312 yr Author comment_418328 Yes. I've removed everything I can see. The panel moves freely, but will not come out. It is binding between the floor and the bracket for the rear hatch support. I'm trying to remove teh fuel reservoir and filler tube Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/46060-76-280z-int-trim-panel-removal/#findComment-418328 Share on other sites
March 19, 201312 yr comment_418333 Have you removed the tail panel trim and 1/4 window trim? Once everything is out of the way you might have to bend/flex the panel to clear the strut bracket. Maybe you could use a heat gun or hair drier to make the panel more flexible.Chuck Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/46060-76-280z-int-trim-panel-removal/#findComment-418333 Share on other sites
