Elaine. Thats a fine looking car. $18k-$25k dollars here in NZ.

Don't let anyone tell you it's 'just an old car'

If it is rust free as you say it is, then a buyer is many thousand $ ahead right there.

Beautiful car, I am partial to that color combination also :-)

One thing that struck me is the picture of the side profile of the car, is it my tired eyes or does the rear tire not look centered in the wheel opening?

Still an awesome car sold by the original owner. That adds to the value assuming there is no hidden rust.

Elaine, does your mother have the original window sticker and the bill of sale when she bought it new? That would add to the value as well.

FWIW, the rear wheels on Zs are not centered in the wheel well opening. Take a look at any side-profile.

Here's a random pic I found in a quick google search:

Thanks everyone for your feedback!!! I need to get more detailed pictures like some of areas that you have described. I will do that this weekend. In the meantime I do have the following photos and details. I do not think that it has any rust- always garaged in Southern Cali. The car was in a minor front bumper/hood accident-at the time the car was repainted (same white color). Everything on the inside is original and in perfect running order- no cracks in dash or in leather. On the door it says 3/72. She has all of the original owners manuals etc and records of repairs. Will send more pictures soon!

I would not waste my time and money on Ebay with this car. I would Craigslist it, then have the Craigslist add picked up by Bringatrailer.com. That will give you all the exposure you need. Ebay will take too much of the profit. Also make sure to bring it by the Z Club of San Diego meeting on the 2nd of April at Denny's Resturant on Clairmount Mesa BLVD. Come early around 6PM there will be some guys there that just might be interested in serparating you from that fine car. Also Automatics can be desirable because they usually are not raced or beat. I know certain buyers of quality survivors like this car always take out the automatics but I would not. Email me at Montezuma50@gmail.com if you need more directions for times and places of the Z Club Meeting.

Hi Elaine,

I don't mean to be rude or nosey, but everyone on this site will be interested to know what finally happens with the car. It would be awesome if you were willing to let us know. If you sell it, perhaps let us know in general what you got and maybe to what part of the country (or world it went to).

Thanks,

Leonard

I have more pictures of the engine and interior- I was afraid to pull up the floor boards (pretty glued on there). Unfort I did find a tiny line of rust by the tail lights. See what you all think. I appreciate the help- will keep you posted when it goes on sale (and where). With all of this research and such- I think my mother is a little hesitant of letting the baby go!

Thanks,

Elaine

P.S. I have more views if you like to see them!
