I read the ebay add that you were referring to. Maybe it was the seller who was hiding under the seat for years, instead of the part???

I don't know, but the one I got from him looks like it was never used, it did have the glue spots on the back like the pictures in the add listed in #13. When I found mine on eBay I did see two different adds for the same product with the same pictures at the same time, I didn't take notice at that time if was the same guy.

Again very curious. I hope El can get a good one, the one I got makes my interior perfect now, and I have been looking for a couple of years. It's the little things you know.

Ha maybe! I purchased it this morning and he shipped it today. I'm in the middle of getting the car mechanically sound and wasn't looking to buy cosmetic stuff yet. The shift maps seem very rare though. One more box checked on the to do list.

Yeah. When I bought my car, it looked pretty crummy inside despite the otherwise nice interior all because the missing shift cap, and overall poor shape of the shifter. I had the threads redone by one of our fellow members and sanded of all the gunk. It really made the interior complete.
