Posted April 22, 201311 yr comment_421194 Found this tonight after looking at a new insurance policy at Hagerty Insurance. BTW, these guys are not sponsors but I understand they are highly regarded in the classic car insurance market. Anyway, check out these links to the price guide based on model/year.1971 Datsun 240zhttps://www.hagerty.com/valuationtools/HVT/VehicleSearch/Report?vc=8491991974 Datsun 260zhttps://www.hagerty.com/valuationtools/HVT/VehicleSearch/Report?vc=8756491974 Datsun 260z 2+2https://www.hagerty.com/valuationtools/HVT/VehicleSearch/Report?vc=8689141975 Datsun 280zhttps://www.hagerty.com/valuationtools/HVT/VehicleSearch/Report?vc=8832221980 Datsun 280zxhttps://www.hagerty.com/valuationtools/HVT/VehicleSearch/Report?vc=13318501960 Datsun Fairlady (Roadster)https://www.hagerty.com/valuationtools/HVT/VehicleSearch/Report?vc=1339592You can search for your own:https://www.hagerty.com/valuationtools/HVT/VehicleSearchWhat do you think? April 22, 201311 yr comment_421205 I have a 1974 260z and I think this is pretty accurate. This type of insurance is really assessing replacement cost more than it is determining the value of the car. The gist is you and the insurance company decide a replacement cost of the vehicle up front, in case of a loss its already predetermined. I called and told them i wanted to insure my car for $10k (what i figure it would cost to replace) and they said that fell right between their average values. April 22, 201311 yr comment_421259 I tend to think that these values are tending a bit lower than actual sales.... But still not that far off. It all comes down to how you rate your car. I think in reality many of us think we have #2 cars when we really have #3 cars. April 23, 201311 yr comment_421390 you forgot to show the 70' like mine.https://www.hagerty.com/valuationtools/HVT/VehicleSearch/Report?vc=872367My 70' is insured through Hagerty and covered for $25,000 replacement. The lady I spoke with when getting this insurance, told me I could easily do $30K after seeing the pictures and reading everything I had into it. I told her I'd keep it realistic at $25K and keep my yearly payment down at $330 annual renewal fee.I LOVE Hagerty.Dave Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/46338-hagerty-zcar-price-guide-tool/#findComment-421390 Share on other sites
