Posted May 2, 201311 yr comment_422222 Good evening everyone,I was trying to install the above mentioned U-Joints in my half shafts, but they seem to be a hair long I was only able to get the retaining clip in on one side. Has anyone had a similar problem, any ideas, or do I just need to start over with a different part number or brand. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Craig Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/46437-precision-u-joint-part-number-393/ Share on other sites
May 2, 201311 yr comment_422226 Hey Craig. I ran in to this when I was installing my Brute Force solid u-joints in to my half shafts. You have to make sure the u-joint is exactly in the middle and that your yoke is not slightly crushed on the sides. If it is slightly crushed you can you a bench vise to help spread it apart. May 2, 201311 yr Author comment_422267 Thanks, I'll take a look at that today. I thought the yokes looked like they had a bit of an angle, but I didn't think it was possible that they could have bent. I appreciate your input.
