Blasphemy!?

There's a trend amoungst the tuners or ricers (which i consider myself to be one). to install turbo rotery engines in 510s. Has this swap ever been performed into a z (no thanks i'll keep my L28). In this months issue of the ricer rag Sport Compact Car thay have such a 510 duking it out w/ eclipses, MrII, Supra and even a Viper. The 30yo car seems to old its own against such modern muscle.

Also in this street car challenge is a 98 skyline GT-R. I thought the Skyline wasn't available stateside.

Like the Biker said "its not what you ride it's that you ride"

I feel that rotary belongs at home in it's

Rx-7 engine bay. I remember hearing about someone putting the 1.3 rotary in their 280zx. I Don't know if it was true or

if they actually did this, i never saw it.

If i any car needs that rotary it's a mazda miata. The car has other choices though as the 4 banger can be modified to make comparable HP, or if you got $$$$$. I hear a monster miata package that will give you a Ford 5.0 is available.

As for me I'd rather Keep on ZZZZing with

L motors in both my Zs.

Later,

Ernie H.

PS -I've also heard of someone putting a Supra TT I-6 in their early Z. Another one of those things i can't say for sure is true but someone or other did e-mail

me about it.

the supra tt in a Z is true i saw it myself. the car sold for only 13 or 14k i cant remember. monster of a machine.

also as far as your rotary question it does work and it can be done and has been done.

a bettter bet depending on where you are and a easier swap is a sr 20 or sr20det swap

A company in NSW, Australia is re-manufacturing MX-5 Miatas. These are called the Bullet Roadster and they have a toyota V8 lexus motor.

P.S.I've seen a few 240z with supra engines. One in Zoom magazine had a 1 or 2JZ twin turbo, and i've seen one with a 5me turbo.
