Looking for my first Zcar

I've nothing nice to say about car #1 - the more I study the pictures the queasier I feel. Way overpriced at 5 thou. Would never have the nerve to take it in to my mechanic with the engine bay looking like that. That car's gross man...

#2 & 3 look like they have at least twice as much in the cars as they are asking. Both look like the mods were done with attention to detail. Goes to show you can't get back what you spent on a modded car. Would like to drive them both. Don't have a clue how to tune the twin cam, but that motor looks good. Bet it sounds nice. Don't love the 2+2's body kit, though. The blue and red stocker's posted both look great, especially the red one, wow.

I went and took a look at this car. I don't know if it is still available but I could check for you. It is over your budget but can probably be purchased under 20K and needs very little work it is very original and comes with the original wheels and caps. LMK if you are interested.

Yeah that car looked amazing when I saw it a few weeks ago. Unfortunately it has been sold according to their website: Hoosier Classic Motorcars

I will check with the owner and make sure it is "gone". The point is, as Carl put so well, this is the type car you need to be lookng at not the 1,2, or 3. With your budget you will be dollars and value ahead with a good original example and they can still be found at a reasonable price. Good luck and you are on the correct site to help guide you through the process.

Thanks Jerry.

Yeah I think I'll pass on the three I listed and keep looking for a good original one to start from. It seems like the best way to go so I don't run into any surprises with the heavily customized ones.

I contacted the seller and yes, the one here in Richmond is gone. The day I inspected it I could have purchased it for $18,000. the car sold for $21,500.00. I believe the seller said the car went to Atlanta. Member?

If there is a car of interest in this area in the future I would be glad to take a look at it for you. jlp

Thanks. I'm still looking around just things are on hold for a little bit. I'm in Germany for work for the next month or so. Once I get back in June I'll be hunting again.
