Posted May 8, 201311 yr comment_422836 Need a breaker plate for my 77 280 distributor and can't seem to locate one. I'm seeing it's possible they are discontinued. Anyone have any luck or know where I can find one? MSA, Zcarsource don't have them either. Thanks. May 10, 201311 yr comment_423077 I have a few 280 dizzies that are going to be raped for their VR sensors so the guts are going to be available. Surely one of the ones I have has a decent breaker plate. Drop me a note to z240@shaw.ca and I'll send pics. May 11, 201311 yr comment_423120 EuroDat, I did and they can't supply it.I am afraid this will only get worse. Your lucky your in the states, the Zeds were more popular there.I picked up a battery yesterday. Mine finnally gave up after 10 years. I asked for a battery to suit a Datsun 280Z at the only aftermarket shop in our town and he said: Is that a Dacia? I thought he was joking, but he was serious, he had never heard of a datsun.....Luckly I took the top support so I could search through his stock for the biggest one that would fit.Chas Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/46489-breaker-plate-no-longer-available/#findComment-423120 Share on other sites

May 12, 201311 yr comment_423188 Try the Philbin Group in Portland Oregon. They build all of our distributors. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/46489-breaker-plate-no-longer-available/#findComment-423188 Share on other sites

May 12, 201311 yr comment_423204 Philbin is one of those unsung resources for the sport that everyone should have on file. They do a super job on distributors and I still don't understand how they can do all that thay do for the price they charge.
