Looking at MSD (6425) ignition to improve cold start / idle & low rev running. Is this an upgrade worth pursuing ? interested in your experiences (installation issues ? etc). I have the newer 280zx Dizzy.

Not really required for the moderate weather in most of California.

If the carbs are set correctly and the wiring is good, you should have no problem starting even in cold weather. The hotter ignition may improve the idle.

I agree, your 280zx electronic ignition should be plenty good for everything. I'd say you need to work your SU operation and all other aspects of tune before spending more money on a different electronic ignition
