Posted June 11, 201311 yr comment_425290 I am doing an auto to manual tranny swap on a 260. I am looking for details on the bracket where the hard and soft lines meet for the clutch slave cylinder. I dug through microfice and got the OEM parts for the slave cyl clutch line (see attachments). And, routed a hard line for the clutch based on pics I found. But, I have not been able to find details of the bracket where the hard and soft lines for the clutch are secured. Does anyone have a pic or a link to a pic that shows the bracket on the subframe? I have an idea of what might work. But, I'd like to see the OEM bracket. Maybe I can save a few hours of work instead of reinventing the 40 yr old proverbial wheel. June 11, 201311 yr comment_425300 Ah, my specialty! Crawling around on my garage floor with a cell phone camera & flashlight! The bracket is basically a simple L shaped piece of metal with a large hole in it welded to the body. The big end of the hose goes through hole and sleeve, with the spring shim to retain it, much like the brackets for the brake flex lines welded to each strut tube. and here's a picture looking straight up at it, note the underside of my battery tray at the top. Edit: My car is a '73 240z, in case of any model year variations. June 11, 201311 yr comment_425333 I might be able to cut one of those off of a car if I have a good one. Provided you cover postage...Charles Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/46735-looking-for-slave-cyl-detail-the-bracket-on-subframe/#findComment-425333 Share on other sites

June 12, 201311 yr comment_425457 I don't seem to have one of a 240z carcass. I have one on 280z but it looks different. A brake standoff might work I have a few of those but they seem to be longer. I could potentially shorten one or send you one to shorten and add an new whole in it.C Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/46735-looking-for-slave-cyl-detail-the-bracket-on-subframe/#findComment-425457 Share on other sites
June 13, 201311 yr comment_425516 it's just a roughly 2" by 1" piece of sheet steel with a 90 degree bend in it and a hole drilled in it that fits the big end of the flex hose. It'd be pretty trivial to fabricate with hand tools.
