Ughh..can't leave well alone. MSD/Pinging !

Guy's - installed MSD (6425) ignition over the w/e & now get pinging on my 240Z ! dropped the timing a few degrees ..now only @ 13/28deg & no change in condition. Using a 280zx dizzy, E12-80 module now removed with vacuum disabled. the MSD should not have messed with the dizzy adv curve so not sure why this should have happened. no change in gas quality - same gas in tank before/after swop. Motor is a 2.8L / mild cam ~ 10:1 CR

Any comments/observations ?.

Reverse the magnetic pickup wires.
