Posted July 10, 201311 yr comment_427287 Hey everyone, A few years ago I had sold off my Z to help pay to get my degree in Mechanical Engineering but thankfully, that decision among many others got me a good job so I'm back to get back into another S30! Just wanted to re-introduce since its been ~4 years since I was last on here. My name's Will and I'm new to the Milwaukee area so if any of you have a rust free 240-280 laying around, lemme know! July 10, 201311 yr comment_427298 Welcome back Will. Goodluck hunting down a ahh shall I say S30, 240 - 280Z. That was a nice 260Z you had. I like the clean bumperless rear end.Chas Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/46942-new-old-young-guy-it-makes-sense/#findComment-427298 Share on other sites
July 10, 201311 yr comment_427324 Welcome back to the club Will. As you already know, finding a rust free Z in any part of the country these days presents a challenge. The best thing I can suggest is to keep an eye on the Datsun Classifieds site and troll your local and surrounding Craigslist sites on a regular basis. Ebay is always an option too. Be patient and I am sure the right one will come along. We look forward to your updates. July 10, 201311 yr comment_427332 Speaking of finding the "right one" - can you tell us more specifically what you are looking for? Or what your plans are for one.. a) one to buy, detail, drive and enjoy {$12K to $16K} one to buy, fix up, then drive and enjoy {$10K to $12K} C) a non-running Project - that is in restorable condition {$5K to $10K} D) one to buy, drive on weekends to local shows and enjoy {$18K to $21K}. July 11, 201311 yr Author comment_427372 Thanks for the warm re-welcome guys. I know it'll be a challenge finding a rust free/low rust one but I can wait some and always can rent a car dolly it far away. Trust me, I'm a massive Craigslist/ebay/forum post troll right now for one.I guess the main thing is I don't want to have to repaint the car at this point. So some light floorboard rust could be managed but doglegs/quarters, etc need to be in good shape for me. To Carl Beck's post...I'd say my wants fall into a b or c category. I would like something that has a mostly clean interior/exterior. I could care less what's going on in the engine bay at this point. Whether its empty, 350, L24, or anything else...it doesn't matter much as I'll wind up putting what I want into it.
