Guys I've got a 78 280z that is in need of an ignition switch. I was wondering if you guys know if the ignitions are swappable between the 240's through the 280's? Basically is it possible to take a whole assembly from a 240 or 260 and swap it into a 280?

I don't know if the whole assy's swap, but I do believe there was a design change to the electrical switch part of the assy that resulted in two non-interchangeable versions of the electrical switch.

Are you trying to fix an electrical issue, or a mechanical issue? (Or both?)
