Mr.Green the Great Posted September 2, 2013 Author Share #14 Posted September 2, 2013 (edited) Met an older Z guy at the gas station. He loved my car and the fact that a young guy was rebuilding her. He sold his last year and he has a bunch of parts laying around. Giving me fenders, straight hood, rear window louvers, 14inch center line 4 spoke wheels, and some interior pieces and a set of tail lights in better condition than mine!!!! He is giving me all these parts FOR FREE!!! Love the Z community and I am feeling the love. Will post pics of my score and when I install all the new stuff on the 240z! Mr.Green the Great Posted September 13, 2013 Author Share #17 Posted September 13, 2013 (edited) Picked up some bullet style mirrors off of a 67 1600 roadster SPL311. Got em for 10 bucks from the original owner of the car. Really nice guy! He was the original owner of the car and said those mirrors came with it when he purchased it! Installed em on my fenders and they look great IMO! Made my own rubber bottoms for them. Will post pics of them on the car tomorrow when I get a chance. Cheers Classic Z! Mr.Green the Great Posted September 18, 2013 Author Share #18 Posted September 18, 2013 Anyone know where to get clear headlight covers for the 240z? The only ones I found were $1,000 USD. I feel like I could get em for cheaper or is that a normal price? All input and suggestions are REALLY appreciated! Thanks in advance. Carl Beck Posted September 18, 2013 Share #19 Posted September 18, 2013 The Nissan headlight covers usually sell used for $1000.00 or more. NOS - $1400 and up.The Aftermarket covers, like BRE & BSR used to sell back in the day, and which are I believe still avaliable were around $65.00 the last time I looked.FWIW,Carl B. Mr.Green the Great Posted September 20, 2013 Author Share #21 Posted September 20, 2013 (edited) Some quick pics of my baby! Showing the installed mirrors, damage to the airdam, and my stitch work. Still looks good in my opinion. And a quick peek at the dash aswell. I think it looks pretty good! Especially considering how bad it was... Forgot to take pics before I started to "fix" it. ... not rich so I worked with what I had. Plan on getting a new dash eventually anyway. Fender flares are the next on my list. I know I have to cut and its exciting starting this but before hand I was wondering if anybody has any kind of tips or tricks they used to get em lined up right. Any input would be amazing! Have a good one Classic Zers and thanks in advance. Edited September 20, 2013 by Mr.Green the Great
