jalexquijano Posted March 22, 2018 Share #385 Posted March 22, 2018 You guys wanted me to adjust to 2.5 turns clockwise on a 240z modified engine? SM needles, Schneider 274F Camshaft and pertronix ignition?

Maybe in the end the car does not need the 4.2 psi and will run okay with 3 psi but i will need to open the carbs more. If you increase or decrease the fuel pressure, it is possible the fuel height will change and mess things up. If you are between 2.5psi and 4psi you are good. Set it once then leave it. Then adjust the fuel level using the float tang. For the most part, fuel pressure will only only determine how fast the bowls refill. It must not be too high so as to overpower the float's buoyancy pressure. It is not something you need to play with. The stock fuel pressure is ~3.4 psi. 240260280 Posted March 22, 2018 Share #388 Posted March 22, 2018 That looks perfect! No need to adjust fuel pressure.
jalexquijano Posted March 22, 2018 Share #389 Posted March 22, 2018 What else should i keep adjusting? Narrowing the gap between both floats more?
240260280 Posted March 22, 2018 Share #390 Posted March 22, 2018 It is impossible to tell by looking at the lids. You have to look at the fuel height in the fuel bowl. Do this: 1. Draw line at 20mm or 23mm down. 2. Put measurement hose against the line. 2. Adjust tang until fuel level matches line on each bowl. 3. siteunseen Posted March 22, 2018 Share #392 Posted March 22, 2018 I agree with 240260280, you should completely forget about doing adjusting with the lids and float upside down.

240260280 Posted March 23, 2018 Share #394 Posted March 23, 2018 Route the hose next to the float bowl so that it presses against the line, you will be more accurate that way.
