Mike Posted August 30, 2013 Share #1 Posted August 30, 2013 Hey guys, just wondering if any of you have tried this Fairlady grill from MSA? I've always liked the look of these but never ventured as far as to find an original JDM piece. Much appreciate photos if you've got them. Seen only a few of them in my ventures.Black one:Motorsport! So its unlikely that anyone has even had the chance to use that model just yet. It looks high quality to me, though.

zKars Posted August 31, 2013 Share #4 Posted August 31, 2013 There is a thread on hybridz from a guy (David , 1 tuff Z) making these reproductions. Fairlady Z Mesh Grill - Reproduction Thead - Vendor's Forum - HybridZNot sure if they are the ones showing up at MSA.
EuroDat Posted September 1, 2013 Share #5 Posted September 1, 2013 Yes thats 1tuff Z's grill he made in the Hybrids thread. He produced two series of 10 and is now selling through MSA. I posted in the thread enquiring about the 280Z.He was buzy with a friends 280Z, but it used the original valences and Im using the PU Air-dam from MSA so Im sort of a crossing between the two.Tamo3 had he same problem with his 280Z and would have to do some mods to get it to fit. 1 tuff Z very sporting and refund him no problems. Its still tempting to try. It looks greatChas
Arne Posted September 2, 2013 Share #6 Posted September 2, 2013 Mike, having seen your car in person, I think the gunmetal one would look better on your car than the black, which I feel would be too stark on all that yellow. If you haven't already re-done the tail trim panels, you could do them in the same color as the Fairlady grill. I think that would be a good look on your car. That looks like the tighter "13 row" mesh grille- where did you get it? My understanding is that the only one currently available is the looser "8 row", really wanting one like yours though! wheee! Posted June 1, 2016 Share #8 Posted June 1, 2016 Takayuki has a nice one for sale too... New and never mounted. I purchased this a while ago, but decided not to use it. These sell for $299 from MSA. Asking $290US including shipping to anywhere in US mainland or Canada. *note* these will not fit the 280z and the 260z.
