The 240ZG with the L24 might be worth close to the asking price if it's factory. The other's seem a little rich, but they're worth what someone will pay for them.

Asking prices are noticeably higher than a few years ago.

Those price tags are crazy money , interesting to see more money for modified Z's than originals type early Z. Seems that in the US a converted Z is less desirable in comparison . I wonder if this trend of well built modified Z's will be duplicated in the US. In recent auctions I have observed that resto/mods classic cars are commanding more than the originals .

The biggest real money in Japan ( as opposed to simply 'asking prices' at Rocky Auto ) is going to the best, most original / correct / restored / concours cars, just as it always has.

I have to agree with you on that. Interesting to see prices in Japan and EU are much higher than in the US. Maybe because they are more rare, of has to do with economic prices?

Also interesting to see, is that the inventory of modified early Z's are selling , the inventory at that outlet is not stale . The ones that go for crazy money are super detailed/well built examples and the so called originals are commanding less money.:bulb:

I agree, that outlet is a world that is very visible and might be starting a trend.

Current bid is 15,000 usd on this rb26 swap of questionable condition and workmanship. On ebay it would

probably go for 8-12k. Take that

silly 432 wannabe badge off and

it may go for more. This is an example of the lower end of the market there. Bottom line is if

it doesn't look and smell like brand new the Japanese won't pay

top dollar for anything. They don't like old used stuff.
