I ask, is the early Z at a point in the Classic Car World, that having all its Japan original parts worth more, than a complete redone Z at a no expense built using quality reproductions components :ermm:

Yes. Top money is paid by serious, fanatic, Collectors for top quality cars. When they see reproduction parts used - they walk away. If they see reproduction parts used - they wonder what else the builder did to save money - what other quality short cuts were made.

Let's face it - if the car was built with no exense spared - why would there be any reprodution parts used?

On a very nice "Enthusiasts Car" - reproduction parts are not so much an issue.

Philip, those look exactly like mine. I'm not 100% sure but I don't think the reproduction lenses have the "Kotto Japan" markings on them like the NOS do. (?)

Carl, thanks for taking the words right out of my mouth. Serious collectors to me means, no reproduction parts, or short cuts, and no expense spared, period.
