I need help with the early 70-71 choke cable grommet reproduction, if anyone could let me know the length of the two nipples which the wires come out and if the nipples are coming straight out or are they angled up?

This is a pic of what I need a measurement of, the two nipples that are joined.

Any help would be great or even pictures.

thanks Steve

I have the nipples machined out, just need the length and angle.

The choke grommet on my car (MFR 1/1970) is a bit deteriorated making me a possible future customer. The length measures 15 MM however due to deterioration I can't tell if it was ever at an angle. Someone with a grommet in better condition could give a better read.

I have taken some photos next to tape measure on my 9/70 but can't upload them from ipad to this site so will do it when next in the office.

It appears the nipples are angled up but mine is also slightly split so it is hard to say what was the original angle.

Photos off my 9/70 240z. May help? Early RHD Aus cars had both the throttle and choke cables installed.

Charles, I know my 7-71 had this at one time, then I upgraded to the current 72-73 version from Nissan. Now back to the original style.

Steve

Very nice as always. Steve, do you know up to what number car these would have been on?

Charles
