October 10, 201311 yr comment_433401 Its not a bolt on. There are slots cut in the cylinder head intake ports to allow the injector flow to atomize properly in the port. That's assuming your engine is carburated. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/47668-l28-efi-setup-on-l24-motor/#findComment-433401 Share on other sites
October 10, 201311 yr comment_433403 Then there's working out the high pressure fuel pump to feed the FI. It's going to be more work then what you think- definetly not a one day job. October 10, 201311 yr comment_433410 Where to put the ECU, wiring, fuel pump, and a possible head switch . Not all heads have the upper 10mm intake bolt holes for the FI manifolds. Strangely all heads with FI mount holes do have the carb intake holes too! Not fair!Yeah, possible, but not simple... October 10, 201311 yr comment_433427 Hmm...I have F.I. and want "carbies". I used to run the early SU's on my 77 280 until I came back to CA and I LOVED them. Much easier to from F.I. to carbs. I'm with the others, possible but not simple or a one day job. November 3, 201311 yr comment_435190 If you are going to all this trouble, I would look for a Maxima N47 head. They are not the same as a 280Z head. The 280Z N47 will lower your compression ratio (on a L24) where the MN47 will give you about 10:1 and you dont have to notch the cylinders for the bigger valves.Thats my 2 cents...Chas Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/47668-l28-efi-setup-on-l24-motor/#findComment-435190 Share on other sites
