The last half hour or so was good, just keep in mind though that the V8 SC's is basically a silhouette series with a lot of parity rules. Going to race my Zed around there next Easter, made me a bit scared just watching the race and thinking about it.

Yer, the two great rivals (Holden and Ford) against each other to the bitter end. I loved watching Goerge Fury and Allen Moffat battle it out on the mountain in the Nissan bluebird and RX7.

Nissan started winning a lot with Fury, Richards, Schaife and Seaton in the Skyline GT-R until 1992 when the rules changed and Nissan could no longer comply until now with there V8 powered Altima.

In 1992 they Richards and Schaife won when the races was stopped due to really bad weather. Their car was crashed on the mountain and still won. Not really the way Nissan wanted to end, but thats racing.

I have a photo of me and Jim somewhere. Its was taken back when he reaced his JPS BMW. He always tried to take the time to chat to fans.

At that speed the kangaroe didnt come of to well. Altough Jim Richards hit a kangaroe on the mountain in the 90's and it hopped away and he limped back to the pits.

The cameraman filmed the roe hopping away in the distance.

My Z and another will be joining 260DET at Bathurst next Easter.

If you can endure the length of my video from this year's Easter Bathurst, or just fast forward towards the end, the final yellow flag was caused by the lead car hitting a Roo. You can see it off to the left just before Skyline.

Bathurst in a Z is truly awesome - just look at how long it is on the redline in 5th coming down the mountain
