I remember this car from when I lived in Arvada, he even drove it in the snow. It would be a good car for someone that would like to take it apart and clean it up I thought 8 years a go it was ready for that. The car looked strait and ran well. I hope someone might be interested in it.

Yes it was a series one if I wasn't restoring the one I got I'd go for it. From my memory I think it was one of the last series I made.

Also the car has some spots of surface rust back then so who ever gets it needs to do a good check for rust

Also, to tack onto 26th-z reply, from the first picture, it appears to have the series 1 quarter panel 240z emblem, and, from the rear interior

picture of the hatch, it looks like the plastic hatch finisher panel is the early vented style. So, without venting, I would assume that the hatch

has been replaced with the series 2 hatch with the series 1 verticle defroster glass, and interior finisher panels, etc., transfered to that

later hatch. Look for rear end collision damage.

I just got off the phone with the seller and the car was sold. He said he thought that he had deleted all of the Craigslist listings, but he keeps getting calls. I told him that it was still active under the "Eastern Colorado" listing. He also told me that his mother-in-law had recently passed away and it was her car (perhaps her husband's before that?).

I asked him if he knew if the car was a Series I and he said that it was. He told me that "240Z" emblems on upper rear quarters were replaced with "Z" emblems and either the vent holes in the rear hatch were filled and painted over or the rear hatch was replaced -he wasn't sure. I think that whoever bought the car may have informed him about the differences between Series I and Series II cars, because he told me that before he listed the car, he knew nothing about 240Zs. He also told me that he sold the car for the full asking price, which was no surprise.
